The reason Tim Tebow is ridiculed is because he has taken public Evangelical masturbation to new heights. Inside the NFL had Tebow wired for sound during the Denver Bronco Chicago Bear game. What did we hear? Tebow praying. Tebow giving God praise. Tebow singing several praise and worship songs. Tebow encouraging fellow players to do great exploits in God’s name. This is what many of us find offensive. His overt public displays of faith have no place on the football field. Play the game. Play hard. Do the best you can and may the best team on that day win. Leave God out of it. If Tebow wants to have a prayer meeting and sing praise and worship songs do it away from the cameras.
